Bio

Tri (Alex) Nguyen graduated from the University of California, San Diego in 2013 with a B.S. in Economics and Mathematics. He is now a Ph.D. candidate in Applied Mathematics at the University of California, Merced under the academic supervision of Mayya Tokman.

Prior to embarking on his academic trajectory he was a U.S. Marine, experimented with following an orthodox existence in the corporate world (mostly employed in numerous technical staff positions in the wireless/RF industry), and enjoyed a brief stint as an editorial cartoonist.
